Sutherland Sharks under 15s do best in Premier Youth League
After 6 rounds of soccer’s Premier Youth League competition’s Sutherland’s under 15s are doing best of the local teams. They are in 6th position of the 12 team competition and are just one point out of the play-off top five. There is still a long way to go with only just over a quarter of the preliminary rounds played.
Next best for the Sharks is the under 13 team which is 9th but only 3 points out of the 5. The under 18s, although coming 11th out of the 13 team competition is only 3 points behind fifth place. The 14s are 10th and the 16s 12th (3 draws).
The next round is after the Easter break on Saturday April 18. The Sutherland Sharks Premier Youth League teams take on West Sydney Berries at Seymour Shaw Park beginning with the under 13s at 9am.

Sutherland Sharks 4th in Waratah Basketball League
After round 5 the Sutherland Sharks Men’s team is in 4th place behind Manly, Bankstown and Parramatta in the Waratah Basketball League. Hornsby Spiders and the Sydney Comets round out the top 6 for the play-offs.
In the women’s competition, the Sharks are in 8th position having had 1 win, two losses and two byes in the 5 rounds so far. The Sydney Comets lead the competition followed by Newcastle Hunters, Bankstown Bruins and Manly.
After the Easter break both the Sharks teams have an away double header taking on the Hornsby Spiders on Saturday April 18 and then the Bankstown Bruins on Sunday 19 April.

Department of Sport and Recreation Camps next week

Surf's Up - Ideal for beginners or intermediate level, learn how to surf or how to improve your technique. Enjoy other activities like archery, canoeing and much more. Participants must be able to swim.

Register for Sydney’s World Masters Games: As at late March 6700 people had registered for the World Masters games in Sydney on October 10 -18, 2009. Over 28 sports will cater for participants of varying standards and ages. For example, tennis has singles, doubles and mixed doubles in ten year age brackets from 30+ to 80+ with A grade for competition players and B grade for social players and beginners.
