A young boy asks his father if he can have a 10-speed bike for his birthday.
His father replies, "the mortgage on the house is $280,000 and since your mother lost her job we just can't afford it."
The next morning the boy packs a suitcase and walks out the door. His father sees him and asks "Where are you going with that suitcase?"
The boy replies "Last night I heard you tell mum that you were pulling out and mum said wait, she was coming too and I'm not going to be left with a $280,000 mortgage."
